Overview

Sundarban, the land of Mangrove forest, famous for Royal Bengal Tiger. The story of Bonbibi-Dakshin Roy evolve from this land. The place or Hetal trees where Deer are roaming around, Bees are produced Honey. Snakes and Gharials are also found there. Hard relationship between man and the land through Wood and Honey collection. Here the belief of goddess Bonbibi lies in the soil who can protect them from life-risk of livelihood.   

Itinerary

Day 1

  • Reach Sundarban. Chek in to the Hotel. Take rest and enjoy Jhumur Dance in the evening.
Day 2

  • Day long Jungle Safari by Steamer/Launch and enjoy the greenery of Sundarban. You may watch Deer, Gharial, Royal Bengal Tiger.
Day 3

  • After breakfast, you can walk around nearby. Get ready to head back to Kolkata.

Package Summary

Day O1: 

The trip will begin in the morning in Kolkata. Those who opt out car can join from Canning Railway Staion. 

1. The bus or car (AC) will wait close to Park street at 8 AM; the precise location will be announced prior to the trip. An additional time slot for pickup is set at 8.30 AM at P.C.Chandra Garden (Gate Number 1) close to Science City. At 9 AM, the trip from Kolkata to Sundarban will start. First destination is Gadkhali. It's a lovely 3 hours journey from the bustle o the city to the fresh air of the village and the water. Tea and breakfast will be provided en route.

2. A boat will be used for transportation from Gadkhali. Visit Hamilton Bunglow and Rabindranath Tagore Kather Bunglow, both o which are situated in Gosaba Block. Then begin the river trip once more, passing through the settlements along the riverbank and the stunning lush green scenery of the Sundarban. Arrive at the hotel and have lunch. Rest for a little. Savour local Jhumur dances (Folk Dance) while sipping tea or coffee and enjoying some evening food.

3. Eat dinner and then have a nice sleep. 

Day 02: 

1. On Cruise, it's a Jungle Delta Safari day. At 7 AM, start the day a little earlier. Throughout the journey, a government guide will provide assistance. After making a stop at Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve, this exhilarating safari will travel through a number of rivers, islands, and creeks, passing through locations such as Pirkhali, Gazikhali, Choragazi, Bonbibi Varani and many more. To see deer, wild boar, snakes, water lizards, birds and the Royal Bengal Tiger (occasionally), the boat will pause at the Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower and stare deep into the jungle. Savour morning snacks and breakfast on board.  

2. The next destination is DoBanki Tiger Reserve, where nearly a kilometer long  nested canopy walk through the dense jungle may offer to watch closely any wildlife. After then, the boat will cross the river and arrive at Panchmukhi Mohana, a junction of five rivers. Lunch will be served in time on boat. It's time to head back to a safe location enjoying the sunset on river in the Sunderban mangrove forests. 

3. As the sun sets, the gentle melodies of Boul Gaan (Folk song) will create a warm atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Savour the delicious snacks while sipping your tea or coffee, and let the music transport you to the heart of the culture.

4. Eat dinner and have a deep sleep after a long day. 

Day 03: 

Take a two-hour walk around a nearby hamlet after breakfast. The picturesque cottages and narrow lanes will make the ideal setting for a relaxed morning. Enjoy the indigenous plants as you stroll and maybe pause for a cup of tea at a quaint cafe. Eat breakfast and unwind. Take a boat for Godkhali. On the way enjoy lunch with passing by nature, mixing of jungle, wild life and water and human settlement.
